5. Speaking practice

Unfourtunatelly, no one has same subject area for me in my class.
Rather all classmate are completely different from my subject.
I'm really getting worried my masters course because I have not understood completely whole lecture yet. I sometimes do not understand even what my classmates said.
This is my biggest problem. We have normally have own accent which is based on our nation.
In order to overcome this poblem, we just need to more practice.

9. Overview of your subject area

I am doing International Relations as my subeject.
This academic area is part of politics. But, many people recognised that this subject become much important after the Cold War.
It may be hard to sparate from politics but differ from that area.
I think politics focused on mainly internal policy in a country.
In contrast, international relations pay attention to external situation which normal politics theory cannot explain.

'Globalisation' is one of good example.
We cannot describe this phenomenon in field of politics because Globalisation includes lots of actor. And also each actor has own policy in inside of country.

If globalisation did not exist, International Relation would not improve so much.
I think academic of International Relations will be much more important than normal politics in the furture.

13. Useing and searching databases

I could find some books and articles from the database at Meta Library service.

1. Nye, J.S. (1992) Understanding international conflicts: introduction to theory and history, New York, Longman.

2. Goldstein, J.S (2004) International Relations, Washington D.C: Longman.

These two books are really useful for understanding whole globalisation.
But, this could be besic. If I want to focus on more particulary topic, I will have to put key word on. For instance, it might be better to put on word 'international organisation' after the word 'international relation'. Other is that Putting on Authors name in Web Research could be better.

11. Understanding plagiarism and referencing

I totally undestood plagiarism and referencing from the lecture and Library skills.
In fact, I realised that this was not easy to write as I expected. This is because
if I thought that a report which I wrote down is not plagialism but my own idea,
it might be possibility that someone wrote before I got.
This suggest that we have to examine very carefully the pre-paper which someone puplished.

10. Liberary resources for globalisatiion research

After I checked the Liberary service, I found some useful information from there.

In my subject area, globalisation is the one of most important issues. So
it is not easy to discuss without difinition.
I think it had better define what golobalisation is at first.

Then, I will focus on particullary theme.
In this process, I put on some important key word, which is like 'international organisation' or
'conflict'.

I could find some important book from these key word.
However, some books which I can get are still massive so I need to narrow the possibilities to my answer.

London Visit (Task7)

I went to Tate Modern a couples of weeks ago.
In this garalley, a variety of art is exhabited, especially modern art.

To be honest, I am not interested in art work itself.
But, this musuem was something attract to me.
It is hard to explain....
All of art work in this museum is completly defferent from other museum.
When I went to this museum and saw these arts at first time, I thought.... This is not art.
For instance, there is a blocks which just was piled up one on top of another.
Is this art?

Another is much more curious.
There is a painting, but nothing.
Nothing is drawing and painting.

It just cut at centre of painting with knife!! That's it!!
I do not know how to discribe my feeling.
If you care about that, you are better to go there definitely!
I sorongly recommend it.
